It was a dream come true for Hotlink subscriber Lili Susanti Binti Samsurijal, when she beat thousands of others to be the grand prize winner of the Hotlink American Idol contest that ran from 10 March to 27 April, 2009, after answering a series of SMS trivia questions correctly. in Los Angeles, California.
Lili Susanti, who has been a Hotlink customer for nine years and a Maxis postpaid customer for six months, will be bringing her friend Lee Ai Schuen with her to share in this exciting trip of a lifetime, to watch her two favourite contestants this season go head-to-head in what many fans of the popular reality show have called the most interesting American Idol finale, which sees season favourite Adam Lambert take on dark horse contestant Kris Allen.
“I feel very excited! I’ve always heard about the contests and promotions by Hotlink but I never had the opportunity to participate before,” said Lili Susanti. “This time, I jumped in to participate as soon as I heard about the contest as I wanted to be at the finale in person. I am really looking forward to seeing my favourite contestant Adam Lambert. He is an amazing singer and so versatile.”
Lili Susianti and her friend Ai Schuen, who left for the United States on May 17, will be attending the American Idol Finale Performance Show on 19 May 2009, as well as the Grand Finale Results Show on 20 May 2009, at the Nokia Theater in Los Angeles.
