The BlackBerry experience is more affordable with Hotlink

Customers of leading integrated communications provider Maxis Berhad (‘Maxis’) are now able to enjoy the convenience and affordability of daily prepaid BlackBerry data plans for just RM2.50 per day. On the plan, customers will benefit from access to uncapped speeds on Maxis’ seamless high speed networks and more MB usage per day, up to 200MB of data per customer.

The BlackBerry Curve 8520 (above) is priced at just RM1,099 or RM95 per month over 12 months in conjunction with Maxis’ introduction of daily prepaid BlackBerry data plans.

The plan is offered via Maxis’ prepaid brand, Hotlink. In conjunction with the introduction of daily prepaid BlackBerry data plans, Maxis is offering the BlackBerry Curve 8520 at RM1,099 or RM95 per month over 12 months on an Easy Payment Plan at all Maxis centres nationwide, enabling customers to enjoy the BlackBerry experience at affordable rates.

Among services that customers will have access to on the daily prepaid BlackBerry data plans are push email from Gmail, Hotmail and Yahoo!Mail; instant messaging on BlackBerry Messenger, MSN Messenger, Yahoo!Messenger and Google Talk; effortless social networking on popular platforms such as Facebook, Flickr and MySpace and internet browsing.

Today we are pleased to extend our BlackBerry offerings to daily prepaid data plans to enable more customers to enjoy the BlackBerry experience. The plans present a perfect affordable solution for customers who love to chat online, are active on social networking sites and who would like to work and play on the move.

We intend to continue to be a leader in offering content, applications and service innovations which enable our customers to use their devices for personal expression, business convenience and opportunity and for connection to the rest of the world.”

To subscribe to the daily prepaid BlackBerry data plan, the customer just has to dial *100#, go to ‘Internet’ and then opt for ‘BlackBerry Internet Service (BIS)’ and select ‘Day BIS Premium RM2.50’. An SMS notification will be sent to the customer one hour before the auto-renewal or expiry of the day pass. The service is supported by all available BlackBerry models.

In addition to the daily prepaid BlackBerry data plans at RM2.50 a day, Maxis also offers monthly plans at RM98 per month and weekly plans at RM28 per month. The monthly and weekly plans cover WAP services, video streaming and the use of device as a modem.
