Maxis Communications Berhad (”Maxis”) via its prepaid brand, Hotlink, announced its partnership with hitz.fm to bring Sean Kingston’s “Beautiful Girls”World Tour LIVE in Kuala Lumpur on 11 April. The teenage sensation will be performing his latest hits, including Beautiful Girls, Me Love and Take You There, from 9.00pm to 11.00pm at Zouk Club, Jalan Ampang.

Maxis General Manager and Head of Advanced Value Added Services Marketing, Lai Shu Wei, said, “This concert is our way of continually bringing the best live performances, entertainment and mobile hits to our customers. It is exclusive to Hotlink and Maxis subscribers who are above 18 years of age. To get up to 4 concert invitations each, all they need to do is to download Sean Kingston caller ring tones from selected Maxis centres at KLCC, Pavilion, Berjaya Times Square, Taman Tun Dr Ismail or Taipan. 

“Sean also has customized the “Beautiful Girls”caller ring tone with 50 different popular names. Customers can download their preferred ring tone from the Hotlink music portal at www.hotlink.com.my.”

In addition, Hotlink and Maxis subscribers who have downloaded Sean Kingston Caller Ring tones can participate in the hitz.fm contest via SMS by typing WIN name IC number and sending it to 32111 (each SMS costs 50 sen). hitz.fm announcers will call selected customers and the caller ring tone they hear must be a Sean Kingston song in order for them to win 4 concert invitations. 

Listeners can also catch hitz.fm cruisers at one of the daily crosses and flash a Sean Kingston download (caller ring tone, polyphonic ring tone or wallpaper) to stand a chance to win 4 concert invitations. 

Lai added, “To cap the Sean Kingston experience for Hotlink and Maxis customers, there will be a meet and greet session with Sean himself before the concert. 10 lucky winners will be chosen from those who have downloaded his caller ring tones.”

Adrian Wong, Chief Executive Officer of Absolute Entertainment, the concert organizer, said, “Kuala Lumpur is the first stop for Sean Kingston in his Asian League. We chose Zouk Club as the concert venue, and not a stadium or bigger venue, because we want fans to get up close and personal with the star. 

“He has accomplished the rare feat of creating a new genre where rap, reggae, pop, doo-wop and remarkable songwriting are combined into something completely refreshing and unique. We want everyone in the room to feel his melodies and enjoy his Miami and Jamaican musical heritage.”

Maxis previously brought in class-A acts such as Gwen Stefani, Rain, Pussycat Dolls, Fort Minor and Black Eyed Peas. Maxis also presented Chinese popstars Jay Chou, David Tao, Eason Chan, Leo Ku, Miriam Yeung, S.H.E and Z Chen in concert.
