Every year since 2003, diva Dayang Nurfaizah has been celebrating her birthday with her fans. With this already being a tradition with her fans, once again Dayang takes centre stage to celebrate her 29th birthday at Hard Rock Café on 1 August 2010, 10.30pm, and to mesmerize her fans with her stunning vocals as a gesture of appreciation for their constant and loyal support of her work since she entered the music industry.
2010 marks Dayang’s 11th year in the Malaysian music industry and also the release of her 8th album. This extraordinary night will see Dayang performing cover songs from local and international singers who have made an imprint in her heart. This passionate and powerful singer will also be singing for the very first time a few songs from her upcoming 8th album which has a more R&B flavour compared to her previous albums. The songs in her new album centres around the theme of love and the positive influence of love on people and she hopes to promote these positive vibes to all her fans.
This year alone, Dayang’s passion and dedication to music has been acknowledged with her first live album – DAYANG LIVE winning the AIM awards for best Pop Album as well as being placed as runner up for TV3’s Mentor Reality Programme.
Dayang Nurfaizah has come a long way indeed in these 11 years.
Dayang is an innovator in fashion yet traditional in nature, and wields a fiery yet soothing vocal style that redefines the boundaries of her genre of music. Fans will have the opportunity to request for her to sing any song they want in her trademark Jukebox session, a must-have at all her birthday showcases.
Dayang will be backed by Malaysia’s finest musicians under the leadership of Musical Director, Faizal Uzir @ Lok U. Drawing on a rich musical experience and having the curiousity to experiment, Dayang will surely bring to her audience inspiring melodies that will reach right into their lives, hearts and minds.
Dayang’s merchandise will also be available for sale that night and collections will go to her DAYANG SAYANG KAMU fund in plight of the unfortunate.
