RECORD PERFORMANCE OF BIGGEST LOSER ASIA DRIVES HALLMARK CHANNEL TO THE TOP
Monday, 8 February 2010, Singapore – Hallmark Channel is the #1 Astro English Channel in Malaysia during The Biggest Loser Asia’s timeslot as of the latest episode broadcast on Tuesday, 2 February 2010. It propelled Hallmark Channel to top by a significant 135% lead ahead of the second highest English Astro channel for viewers Astro 6+. Hallmark Channel also ranked 6thduring the same timeslot amongst all Astro channels (Source AGB Nielsen Media Research, Tuesday, 2 February 2010, 9pm, Astro 6+).
It is a big win for Hallmark Channel’s first local production, which has seen an upward ratings trend since its launch in November 2009. The latest episode nine which aired last Tuesday was 71% higher than the premiere episode amongst Astro 6+ (Source AGB Nielsen Media Research, Tuesday, 2 February 2010, 9pm), demonstrating The Biggest Loser Asia’s undeniable pulling power that has viewers repeatedly coming back for more.
