Ulasan Hotel 9h ninehours Narita Jepun

Japan and Japanese culture have always been very close to my heart since I was a kid. Watching Japanese serials and wanting to learn the Japanese language (which eventually I did) was something normal to me. Hence when I recently had a chance to go to Japan, I wanted to experience the much talked about Capsule Hotel. ninehours Narita was my obvious choice.

ninehours Narita is located at Narita Airport, Terminal 2. Hence when it comes to convenience of getting there, it wins hands down. ninehours offers a range of facilities that will suit to your needs. The “STAY” facility allows you to stay in as a normal hotel would. For less than 4,900 yen, you may check in and drop off your luggage and continue with your sightseeing experience. The usual check in is at 12 noon and check out at 10am.

Alternatively, you may use their “NAP” services. Under this facility which is offered from 9am to 6pm, you will be able to take a nap and use the shower facilities. This is ideal especially for those on a short transit and would wish to rest. ninehours which was first opened in December 2009 also offers “SHOWER” facility for just 1,000 yen. This 24/7 facility is a perfect package for those that need to freshen up for their next flight or to continue sightseeing the city. This service comes with complimentary crisp clean towels, shampoos and body soaps for you to utilize.

Upon your check-in you will receive a bag that contains a sleeping gown, towel and disposable slippers. You will be issued a locker key as well. The amenity is divided into two areas; for males and females. I found this very interesting as ninehours sticks to serious business of getting cleaned and a good rest. Not exactly a place to be merry I must say. As you enter your area (based on your gender), you are supposed to take off your shoes and put on the disposable slippers on. This is to keep the floors clean all the time. You put your belongings into your assigned locker and then you may get cleaned up in the shower room which I have to say are so very clean all the time or adjourn to the sleeping pod area. One has to be very quiet in the sleeping pod area to respect other people’s privacy and sleep.

Your “room” or Sleeping Pod as it is referred to in ninehours, is a pod measuring 110cm in width 110cm in height and 220cm in length. They are stacked up like a honeycomb and surprisingly very comfortable to be in. One can comfortably sit up with a lot of head room. There are switches for you to control your pod lights and also the artificial lull sound that is supposedly helps you to sleep. There is also socket for you to charge your phones and wifi reception in the pod. The pods are not sound proof and to have privacy in your pod, one may use the pull on the shade that acts as curtain so to speak.

I personally loved ninehours to bits. It was comfortable. It was convenient. The staff are attentive and helpful and did I mention how immaculately clean this place is. LOVED it!
