U Mobile expands reach in Klang Valley with 12th new outlet at PIKOM ICT Mall, CapSquare
It was a noteworthy moment cherished by U Mobile Sdn Bhd, Malaysia’s most dynamic and innovative telco, as the company officially opened its 12th store at the start of year 2012 at PIKOM ICT Mall, CapSquare Kuala Lumpur.
The opening is part of U Mobile’s continuous effort to expand its reach within Klang Valley as it widens its presence and distribution channels within Malaysia. It is also in line with U Mobile’s three-pronged strategy for 2012, which is rolling out network infrastructures, enhancing brand presence within the market and broadening distribution channels. The new store will also provide customers greater accessibility to U Mobile’s products and services.
Services available at the store include providing prepaid starter packs and top-up vouchers, postpaid packages, broadband registrations, payment transactions, and customer service support by friendly U Mobile staff.
Speaking at the opening, Suresh Reddy, U Mobile’s Chief Commercial Officer said, “As we grow to be the leader in data services, our focus remains in increasing our network coverage and striving to increase our presence in key locations to bring us closer to our consumers. The new store opening is in-line with that philosophy.” Suresh was present at the ceremony to officiate the opening of the new outlet.
In celebration of the new outlet opening, customers were treated with a lion dance performance to solemnize the opening and a string of enticing promotions and activities. Lucky customers had the chance to win brand new Samsung GALAXY Tab, Nokia E5 and Nokia 7230 in a lucky draw. U Mobile also threw a special promotion by offering phone bundling at RM 0 and waived upfront payments for Samsung GALAXY Mini and Nokia X3-02.
The first 25 customers to download a free tumbler coupon from U Mobile’s Facebook page also walked away with BlackBerry tumbler, a special collector’s item. In addition, customers who made purchases at the new store were given the chance to spin the wheel and win vouchers from TGV, Jusco, KFC and U Mobile premiums.
U Mobile’s products are now available at more than 22,000 outlets nationwide including U Mobile stores, dealers and non-traditional distribution partners including retailers such as 7-Eleven, Singer and Cosway; supermarkets, banks and FMCG distribution specialists.
