So who is naughty?
To date, the brand new Jack Neo film entitled ‘We Not Naughty’ has grossed over RM 2.7 million in its first 10 days of release in Malaysia. After successful releases in Singapore and Malaysia, the film has its sights on conquering the Taiwanese market next.
He joined cast mates Danial Chan, Eric Moo and Shawn Lee at a press conference to promote the movie in Taiwan recently. As part of the promotional value-add, a discussion panel with more than 100 single parents and respectable politicians was also held immediately after the screening of ‘We Not Naughty’. Both parties discussed about the current social issues that parents and their kids face in their everyday lives.
He mentioned that those who can become parents might not know the best way to educate him or her. Often times, most parents are heavily influenced by how they themselves were raised decades ago and in turn, they perpetuate those behaviors in raising their own children today – which leads to a lot of miscommunication and misunderstandings.
Other than that, these children are swarmed by technology and social media which are not necessarily the best tools for having meaningful and healthy relationships. He hoped that this movie would be an eye opener for everyone to really ponder about the reality of today’s society where conversations take a back seat to iPads, Blackberrys and game consoles. He also believed that by changing just one audience’s state of mind can make a big difference in that person’s life.
