T. Kugan, Maxis’ Head of Product, Device, Innovation & Roaming, said, “We are really excited with this event as it holds true to Hotlink’s brand purpose of ‘Now You Can’. As we work towards providing the best services to our consumers, we also desire to help them explore opportunities that can empower and entertain them through collaboration.

“Yuna graciously agreed to work with us on this project to deliver an online performance to her fans who make up a big chunk of our Hotlink subscribers. We also felt that our collaboration should extend further to include our Maxis subscribers as well. With their support to get online and express their intent, Yuna will share with them a performance of a yet-to-be-released track,” he said.

Earlier this year, Hotlink re-launched itself with a fresh new look and brand purpose themed “Now You Can”, delivering more than just tangible product benefits, but also introducing initiatives in cyberspace which is where its core customer base spends a great deal of their time.

“We are excited with this project as history is being made by Hotlink, simply by hosting the first people-powered virtual concert, and what better way to do it than to collaborate with an artist whom our customers can relate to,” he added.

Yuna was notably excited about the project as has a strong social media presence on Facebook and Twitter.

“I’m really glad to be part of this project with Hotlink. It really is a unique effort to engage and collaborate with the online community. There are a few more fun bits that viewers and the public can get involved in, but we will reveal it when the time comes!” Yuna said about her involvement in the performance.

Revealing some of the background work that is being done to realize this initiative, Kugan said that the coming event is made possible through Maxis Cloud Services.

“Maxis Cloud is an Internet-based IT infrastructure which allows organizations to quickly deliver new products and applications, with the ability to cope comprehensively with the peaks and troughs in business demand. It allows maximum IT flexibility while minimizing capital expenditure and operating costs.

“This event gives us the opportunity to showcase what this service and technology is capable of. We are truly glad we can be part of this initiative to ensure that with Hotlink, now you can!”

Following the online concert on December 14, online users will have the opportunity to name Yuna’s single and be part of her video in the next phase of the campaign.

Updates on this campaign will be available on all social media sites, including Twitter and Facebook.
