Swingvy Celebrates International Women’s Day

In honour of International Women’s Day, Swingvy has launched “21st Century Women” photo exhibition featuring 100 inspiring everyday Malaysian women at Common Ground KL33, Kuala Lumpur on March 7, 2019.

Supported by Firefly, 21st Century Women is a free photo exhibition taking place at Common Ground KL33 from 8th- 31st March 2019 is designed to provoke thought on diversity and equality through the stories of 100 Malaysian modern women.

Swingvy celebrates International Women’s Day with 21st Century Women: 100 Women Photo Exhibition

In line with Swingvy’s brand value “people matter”, Swingvy has set out on a journey through portrait photography to create a world where work empowers a better life. Swingvy has collaborated with Malaysian photographer Catherhea Teoh to connect diverse modern everyday women across all industries through their remarkable stories and photographed portraits.

“Our intention wasn’t to simply focus on successful and powerful women, but to highlight the diversity and authenticity of real women with real stories and experiences. With this 100 women portraits, both Swingvy and Catherhea Teoh aim to inspire and empower women in their professional pursuits and life experiences,” says Melly Ling, Brand Manager at Swingvy.

“It was indeed an honour to be part of the “21st Century Women” photo exhibition together with Swingvy. It is on this day that we must take time to reflect on progress made, call for change and to celebrate acts of courage and determination by us who have played extraordinary roles in the society. Prior to unveiling the 100 women portraits, Swingvy held an inspirational panel discussion that highlighted women in pursuit of entrepreneurship and the life experiences of being a woman in this generation.

The event was attended by 150+ female founders, experts, creatives, and emerging talent from all fields, including aviation, tech, startups, fashion, entertainment, media, and art.

Moderated by Melly Ling, Brand Manager of Swingvy, the panel of women leaders shared their personal stories, professional perspectives and insights on accelerating gender parity.
