Bringing together rich content and best-in-class integrated entertainment experiences, Sony Ericsson’s new Satio, Aino and Yari phones come with high-quality Cyber-shot™ technology and the sound quality that is expected of its Walkman™ phones. A comprehensive suite of content from music and videos to hot PLAYSTATION® titles can also be enjoyed on the phones, making the user experience truly Entertainment Unlimited.
“Providing a powerful entertainment content line-up, from the latest movies, music and games, is made possible through our strategic partnership with our Sony sister companies, Sony Pictures and Sony Music, as well as other content partners. The fusion of Sony Ericsson communication technology and entertainment will deliver the ultimate user experience for consumers in Malaysia,” said Hirokazu Ishizuka, Corporate Vice President, Head of Asia Pacific Region at Sony Ericsson.
Every purchase of Satio, Aino or Yari comes with an Entertainment Passport, which offers a bundle of fun features including a number of free downloads of music videos, movies and games. The wide selection of downloadable movie titles include Angels & Demons, Made of Honor, You Don’t Mess With the Zohan and Quarantine, while the music library contains ups to 300 music videos including the latest from well-known artists like Kelly Clarkson, Kasabian, Kings of Leon, Britney Spears, Wong Leehom, Rainie Young and Alan Kuo. In addition to awesome downloads, there is also the chance to score an all-expenses paid trip to catch the FIFA World Cup 2010 in South Africa.
As part of elevating consumers’ entertainment experience, Sony Ericsson is also the proud sponsor of AXN’s brand new TV Special Cyril: Simply Magic. The show features Japan’s most winsome performing artist who has been blowing minds and server limits all over YouTube with his brand of magic. The pioneer of “street magic” in Japan, Cyril, a charming French-Japanese illusionist supremo is best known for his irreverent and inscrutable street stunts. This rugged rebel is also the top prize winner in the prestigious worldwide competition otherwise also known as the “Olympics of Magic” and is internationally recognised as the world’s first “Cyber-Magician”. Cyril: Simply Magic premieres on 19 November at 9 pm, exclusively on AXN, Astro Channel 701, where Cyril shares the marvels of his magic, and brings viewers along with him on a journey of self discovery across Asia.
Ricky Ow, Senior Vice President & General Manager, SPE Networks – Asia said, “Cyril is unlike any other magicians and illusionists we have worked with. He is very focused on his mission – that is to spread happiness through his magic. It is not about how big the illusion is, it is about how it touches the hearts of the people. Hence this collaboration between AXN and Sony Ericsson is truly a dream partnership, as we both share the same vision of spreading the entertainment through Cyril’s magic.”
More than 800 guests at the Sony Ericsson and AXN Spread The Entertainment Showcase, which was opened to the public from 9 pm onwards, were treated to a spell-binding live performance by Cyril as well as a rousing and refreshing collaboration between DJ Gabriel and renowned local diva Camelia.
In conjunction with this showcase, Sony Ericsson also offered the first 50 people to queue up at the event venue rebates of up to RM1,000 on their choice of the new Satio, Aino or Yari mobile phones.
