AirAsia ‘Awesome TVC’ Contest on Social Media starting 18 April!
Contest welcomes the airline’s social media fans into the world of AirAsia

SEPANG, 18 April 2012 –AirAsia is back with another exciting online contest on Facebook for the public to take part, with various Awesome prizes up for grabs.

The contest is organized in conjunction with the airline’s new television commercial (TVC), dubbed the ‘Awesome TVC’, which went live on 16th April 2012 exclusively for fans of AirAsia on Facebook.

The ‘Awesome TVC’ brings fans and viewers alike into the awesome world of AirAsia, portraying the airline’s innovation, culture, passion and of course, the wonderful flying experience presented by AirAsia, the world’s best low cost airline for three consecutive years.

To take part in the contest is simple, and no flight bookings or purchases are required. Just log on to AirAsia’s Facebook page at, and click ‘Like’ in order to be a fan. After this effortless step, go on to the ‘AirAsia Awesome’ tab on the page to watch the ‘Awesome TVC’.

Every Wednesday for five consecutive weeks (starting 18 April 2012), AirAsia will post a question related to the Awesome TVC for contestants to answer. Contestants are then required to send, via email, the answers to all five questions plus a compulsory slogan at the end of the contest. Details will be released along with the weekly question on or every Wednesday.

Winners will be picked based on correct answers and the best slogan. Three Grand Prizes of a pair of return flights to any AirAsia destination are up for grabs. There is also a runner-up, third place and consolation prizes that consist of exclusive signed QPR, Caterham F1 Team and AirAsia merchandise. More information about this contest is available at

The ‘AirAsia Awesome’ tab is the latest feature added onto the AirAsia Facebook page. It is designed to present fans with ‘behind-the-scenes’ look into AirAsia, and learn more about the airline’s history and achievements.

The tab feature is also interactive, where fans could be a part of all the highlights. For instance, by allowing the ‘AirAsia Awesome’ tab access to their profiles (as like other Facebook apps), fans will be able to match happenings of their own significant life events with AirAsia’s milestones, via Facebook Timeline. This is one of the many features available for AirAsia Facebook fans, which will definitely add more fun to their online experience.
