TOP UP AND FLY AIRASIA WITH TUNE TALK!
Also, super low data plan to take market by storm

PETALING JAYA, 11 October 2010 – Tune Talk subscribers can look forward to flying to their favourite destinations like London, Bali, Langkawi and many more as they will now earn airtime points that can be redeemed for AirAsia and AirAsia X flight seats every time they reload their credit.

In appreciation of its loyal subscribers the company today launched ‘Tune Talk Points for AirAsia Flights’, an innovative loyalty programme by Tune Talk in collaboration with the world’s best low cost carrier AirAsia.

“Tune Talk is always listening to what our customers want and we value their loyalty and partnership greatly. We are proud to introduce ‘Tune Talk Points for AirAsia Flights’ in acknowledgement of our subscribers’ needs and their lifestyle. Contrary to any conventional rewards programme, ‘Tune Talk Points for AirAsia Flights’ does not impose any expiry to the points so subscribers can continue enjoying the redemption for as long as they live and are a Tune Talk registered customer. We think it’s an awesome and fun proposition,” said Tune Talk CEO Jason Lo.

Lo noted that no registration is required for the loyalty programme as all active Tune Talk subscribers are automatically eligible for the points. ‘Tune Talk Points for AirAsia Flights’ are credited instantly into the subscriber’s account every time they top up their airtime. The more they top up, the more points they will earn. Subscribers will get double and more points for top ups of RM10 and more.

According to Lo, subscribers need only call Tune Talk Customer Service at 13100 to redeem their flight seats. Accumulated points can be checked by dialing *133#, which is also the credit balance inquiry code.

At a media briefing to announce this here today, Tune Talk also unveiled its new super low data plan that charges a mere 5 sen for 1 Megabyte (Mb) of data usage. As a comparison, competitor telcos are charging around 10 sen for only 10 kilobyte (kb) of data on the GPRS platform, which is RM10 per Megabyte or a whopping 200 times more than Tune Talk!

Throw in Free Flights, Free Insurance and much more that we’re cooking up and then you know why we say that ‘This is Prepaid’,” added Lo.

Tune Talk is the country’s fastest growing prepaid mobile service operator, having activated 1.2 million subscribers in its first year of operation. It launched commercial service on 19 August 2009.
