Malaysian Creators of the Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Infinity War Parody Trailer Meets Film Director in Singapore
The Malaysian creators of the viral Avengers: Infinity War parody trailer, which has since garnered over 3.92 million views till date, got a chance to meet Joe Russo, the director of the film, in Singapore on 16th April.
The parody which features the use of everyday household items earned the praise of many fans around the world for its creativity. The parody was shared on The Russo Brothers’ Twitter account, which the directors made a tongue-in-cheek comment of asking Aiman and his friends to direct the next Avengers film. Benedict Wong (Wong from Marvel Studios’ Doctor Strange) also re-created the infamous “Doctor Strange look” from the parody trailer.
The Walt Disney Company and Marina Bay Sands jointly invited the parody creators to attend the Avengers: Infinity War red carpet fan event held in Singapore. An interview session for the creators to share more about the production of the video was also arranged. During the course of the interview, Joe Russo made a surprise appearance, and both parties later exchanged insights and shared their passion for filmmaking.
