LEGOLAND® Malaysia Resort Reopens With New Attraction, PLANET LEGOLAND

Re-imagining and rebuilding the world at PLANET LEGOLAND®

LEGOLAND® Malaysia Resort announced today that it is slated for reopening by 14th October. Families and fans can now have their long-desired chance to enjoy a complete experience as LEGOLAND Theme Park, Water Park, Hotel, and SEA LIFE Malaysia return to operation.

LEGOLAND Hotel and SEA LIFE have already started daily operations while the LEGOLAND Theme Park will reopen from 14th October and Water Park from 27th October.

LEGOLAND® Malaysia Resort is also gracing guests with a brand new attraction, Planet LEGOLAND®. It is an immersive build experience that encourages children and their parents to unleash their imaginations by building, unbuilding, and rebuilding the world of their dreams with, of course, LEGO® bricks.

“We want to celebrate our reopening by giving our guests something new and meaningful that they can discover, participate in and enjoy. During the times where we were cooped up at home, we’ve learned how resilient and creative our children are. They can play out stories, discover details and feel the sense of accomplishment when they build and play with LEGO,” said CS Lim, Divisional Director at LEGOLAND Malaysia Resort.

“With PLANET LEGOLAND, there are no rules. It only takes unlimited creativity as we empower children to make the world a little brighter.”

As guests arrive at PLANET LEGOLAND®, they will be greeted by a six-foot-wide LEGO globe built out of more than 200,000 bricks awaiting their creations. The experience will provide guests an opportunity to envision a future filled with positivity and joy as the world rebuilds from the pandemic.

SOPs are designed to offer enriching learning through play experiences in a responsible way.

Returning to Play With Safety in Mind

The health and safety of guests are always a top priority at LEGOLAND Malaysia. At PLANET LEGOLAND, guests can maintain at least a 2-meter distance when building in this new experience. All safety guidelines such as face masks, the use of hand sanitizer, and reduced capacity are enforced. Furthermore, all bricks in the space are “quarantined” for 72 hours after sanitization, while build stations are cleaned several times daily.

“During the closure, we took the opportunity to fine-tune our SOPs and train our teams on these new measures. Once we reopen, guests can expect things at LEGOLAND Malaysia Resort to be a little different. Additional SOPs are in place to ensure that the Resort complies with the highest safety standard without compromising on the play and learning experiences,” continued CS Lim.

“We also wanted to thank our loyal fans and annual pass holders for their continued support. So, we have launched some of our best deals yet. These promotions and packages will help our fans save on their next family-fun trip to LEGOLAND Malaysia Resort.”
