Sudah lama rasanya Il Divo tidak terbang ke Malaysia untuk buat konsert. Selain menerima kehadiran penyanyi Avril Lavigne, Malaysia juga meraih perhatian Il Divo untuk turut hadir bertemu peminat. Tahun ini menyaksikan kumpulan Il Divo akan buat persembahan mereka di Konsert IL DIVO A MUSICAL AFFAIR yang akan berlangsung di Arena of Stars, Genting Highlands pada 14 dan 15 Mac 2014. Budiey diberitahu, konsert ini akan diserikan lagi dengan kehadiran penyanyi jemputan dari Filipina iaitu Lea Salonga. Konsert ini diusung ke Malaysia berikutan permintaan dan kejayaan persembahan Il Divo di New York.

Konsert IL DIVO A MUSICAL AFFAIR yang bertemakan The Greatest Songs of Broadway Life pastinya membuatkan ramai peminat tak sabar untuk menonton persembahan live dari empat orang jejaka tampan iaitu Sebastien Izambard, Carlos Marin, David Miller dan Urs Buhler di mana mereka akan mendendangkan lagu-lagu terbaru mereka.
Budiey sudah pun mendengar lagu-lagu terbaru Il Divo menerusi Spotify dan ternyata suka dengan lagu-lagu duet bersama Barbra Streisand, Kristin Chenoweth, Nicole Scherzinger, Heather Headley dan Michael Ball.
Antara lagu-lagu yang akan dipersembahkan adalah Memory, Can You Feel The Love Tonight, Bring Him Home, Tonight dan Some Enchanted Evening.
Tiket konsert Il Divo dijual pada harga RM180, RM280, RM390, RM590, RM790 dan RM980.

LEA SALONGA
Following a successful week of concerts at New York’s Marquis Theater, Il Divo – the record-breaking classical crossover group who has sold more than 26 million albums worldwide – will bring “IL DIVO – A MUSICAL AFFAIR: THE GREATEST SONGS OF BROADWAY LIVE” to Resorts World Genting.
The engagement supports the group’s sixth studio album “A Musical Affair.” It’s their first compilation of songs inspired by Broadway shows such as Phantom of the Opera, Carousel and West Side Story.
The show intertwines the most famous songs from Broadway musicals with the individual theatrical experiences of Carlos, David, Urs and Sébastien. Tony and Grammy Award Winner Heather Headley was a featured guest for the entire run. The quartet members are no strangers to musical theatre; Carlos was cast as Marius in Les Misérables when the show first premiered in Spain in 1993, while David played Rodolfo in Broadway’s La Bohème in 2003, which subsequently garnered seven Tony nominations. The concert will also feature a very special guest star Tony award winner Lea Salonga, a talented singer from the Philippines. Lea is a well known singer across the world with her powerful voice and perfect pitch. Besides singing, this gifted actress was also the first Asian to play Eponine in the musical Les Misérables on Broadway.
The new show was developed by long-term Il Divo collaborator and artistic director Brian Burke (La Reve and Celine Dion’s residency shows in Las Vegas, Elton John, Rod Stewart and The Killers).
The album “A Musical Affair” showcases Il Divo’s signature romantic and emotional interpretation of heartfelt classics like “Some Enchanted Evening” (South Pacific), “Bring Him Home,” (Les Miserables), “Tonight,” (West Side Story) and more.
