Hotel Review: An Arabian Tale at PALAIS FARAJ SUITES & SPA

Fez, an imperial city that has existed for a thousand years in Morocco, still exudes its history and exoticness through its elaborate architecture. Discovering the sights, smells and various colours of Fez is indeed a bucket list worthy item.

Within these glorious high walled streets and ancient medina, lies a jewel in the name of Palais Faraj Suites & Spa. One can never guess the beauty and serenity of this place behind the huge gate that welcomes you. Majestically perched on the south hill with a breathtaking view of the 12 centuries old Medina of Fez, Palais Faraj Suites & Spa offers an experience of Fez in terms of uniqueness, refinement and comfort like no other.

Palais Faraj 0100

Each one of the 25 suites at Palais Faraj was designed in compliance with a distinguished art of secret alchemy and outfitted with the latest luxury facilities. With harmonious combination of elegance and authenticity, the Palais Faraj is also an architectural gem of rare beauty, designed by the famous architect and interior designer, Jean-Baptiste Barian, a specialist in Arab Andalusia architecture. The intricacies of the design work and every detail of this palace will have you transported back in time to the ancient bohemian way of life of the elite.

Besides offering exquisite suites, Palais Faraj has two wonderful restaurants to cater to your gastronomical needs. La Terrasse Restaurant is a lovely restaurant located on the rooftop with a breathtaking view of the old medina. Guests may savour their breakfast and dinner whilst enjoying the beautiful view. L’Amandier Restaurant which serves dinner offers rich traditional Fassi cuisine and a stunning view of the medina as well.

Be sure to be spoilt to bits with Palais Faraj’s very own Oriental Spa built on 400 square meters of space. Oriental Spa offers traditional Moroccan Hammam, scrub rooms, massage and treatments as well as hairdressing and facial care. Using only Marokissime products, a range of natural cosmetic products consisting of orange blossom water, rose water, argan oil, black soap and Rasul enriched by essential oils.
