1. How does Chromecast work?
Since a device and Chromecast are on the same Wi-Fi network, the device instructs Chromecast to pull content directly from the web. While content is playing on a TV, customers can multitask on their device without interrupting the video playback. For example, customers can turn off their device and content will still play.
2. How do I set up Chromecast using a mobile device?
a. Plug Chromecast into an HDMI port of a TV
b. Download the Chromecast app from Google Play (Android) or the App Store on iTunes (iOS) and walk through the steps of connecting Chromecast to a Wi-Fi network.
c. Begin casting to a TV from a supported app on a smartphone, tablet, or laptop connected to the same Wi-Fi network. App examples: YouTube, Google Play Music, Pandora
3. What do I need if I buy the Chromecast?
You just need an Android or iOS device (phone, tablet, laptop), a TV with a HDMI port in the back, and WiFi. You may need a subscription for certain premium apps or Games.
4. Can multiple people cast to the Chromecast?
Multiple users can cast to the TV provided they are both using Cast supported apps and are on the same Wi-Fi network. The way to prevent others from casting to your TV would be to password protect your Wi-Fi network.
5. Can I move Chromecast to another TV?
Yes, Chromecast was built with portability in mind. You can move it from room to room for use with other HDMI enabled display devices. You won’t need to set up your device again, as long as your Chromecast is connected to the same Wi-Fi network. You’ll be able to Cast right away.

1. Why should I buy Chromecast from Maxis
Maxis is currently the exclusive partner with Google here in Malaysia. This exclusivity period is for 4 months starting from 23 April 2015. Any other channels selling Chromecast outside Maxis are not official resellers for Chromecast.
Buying from an official partner with Google, such as Maxis, would have a 1 year warranty from Google. This way, should you have a defective unit, you may bring it to a authorized Google partner here in Malaysia (like Maxis) for a 1 for 1 replacement
2. Can I go to any Maxis Centre and buy Chromecast?
Yes, you may walk into any of Maxis Centre outlets to purchase Chromecast. You may also purchase it via our online store at https://store.maxis.com.my
3. Can I purchase multiple Chromecast units?
Yes, every unit is priced at RM170 (including GST)
4. Can I buy more than 1 unit during this promotional period?
Yes but only the first unit bought will be priced at RM150. Any purchases from the same Maxis account number during the promotion period will be charged RM170.
5. I have a defective unit. How can I replace my unit?
As long as it is still within the 1 year warranty period, you may exchange your defective unit by walking to any Maxis Centre for a replacement. Proof of purchase is required
6. How long is this promotion period?
This promo will run from 23 April to 31 May 2015 or while stocks last, whichever comes first.
7. What happens after promotion period?
The price will return to its retail price of RM170
8. What qualifies me for this promotional price?
As long as you are a c Plan customer, regardless if its 58, 78 or 128, you would qualify to get 1 unit of Chromecast at a promotional price of RM150. MaxisONE Business (MOB) & MOB extra users are also eligible for this promo.
