Rapper MK Announced As Malaysian Brand Ambassador For PUBG Mobile

Exciting Videogame and Music Crossover Collaboration Will Bring Communities Together Creating Exhilarating Content for Fans

Popular Malaysian rapper MK (Muhammad Hairi Amin Hamdan) has been announced as a new ambassador for PUBG MOBILE in Malaysia. MK, who hails from Sabah, grew to prominence as a member of the rap group K-Clique. In his role as PUBG MOBILE Ambassador, MK will be collaborating with Warner Music Malaysia, and PUBG MOBILE to produce and release two new songs, which will serve as anthems for upcoming PUBG MOBILE professional gaming events later this year.

The two new beat songs will smoothly marry the raw excitement of MK’s rapping style, with PUBG MOBILE’s adrenaline packed battle-royale style game play. They are destined to be fan favourites once they are released.

As well as introducing MK’s music to PUBG MOBILE’s massive Malaysian player base, MK fans will also have new reasons to download and try the game (if they haven’t already), as PUBG MOBILE will also be launching a number of MK focused in-game items. These will include a permanent MK outfit, character, voice pack, in game lobby music and much more.

This is not the first time that PUBG MOBILE has entered into a collaboration with well known music acts. The company recently announced a partnership with international artist Rich Brian, who contributed some of his music to the game. PUBG MOBILE also collaborated previously with iconic K-POP girl band Blackpink. As part of the game’s three-year anniversary, the Stockholm-based dance music producer Alesso, Belgian musician Lost Frequencies and Dutch-Moroccan DJ and producer R3HAB shared their mix sets, including the worldwide debut of their new single exclusively, at PUBG MOBILE’s anniversary party.

Jenny Zhuang, Marketing Manager, at PUBG MOBILE, said, “We are really thrilled to have established this relationship with MK and think it’s something that will help bring the Malaysian music and gaming communities closer together. We are committed to providing our players and community with the best experiences and as such we are constantly looking for innovative ways to provide fresh and exciting content that will keep them engaged. Music is an important element of this and as such we will continue to work hard to identify and integrate more collaborative partnerships in future.”

Darren Choy, Managing Director of Warner Music Malaysia, commented, “I am excited to see this collaboration between MK and PUBG Mobile come to life. When one of the nation’s favourite, rising stars of today and one of the world’s most popular games come together, only remarkable things will happen! PUBG MOBILE wanted to bring their fans new ways to enjoy the game and MK is the perfect artist to help them do so. Warner Music Malaysia is honoured to play a part in bringing the ever-evolving music industry and fascinating gaming world closer together. As a label we strive to find original ways for artists to showcase their music, as well bringing fans new & exciting content. It is more important than ever to bring communities together in unique and entertaining ways and this partnership will do this.”

“PUBG MOBILE delivers the same energy and inspiration that I use to create my music. I’m excited to be working on this collaboration with them to bring the fans a new and exciting way to enjoy the game!,” added MK (Muhammad Hairi Amin Hamdan)

“PUBG MOBILE players, as well as MK fans can listen to the new song in-game when it is officially launched around May-June. More updates on the music collaboration and on the upcoming launch of the in-game items will be shared soon.”
