OFFICIAL LAUNCH OF THE TWELVE
Fashion Industry players, media members, celebrities, and customers attend in full support of the twelve designers

The official launch of ‘The Twelve’, a fashion concept store by mifa and Maxis kicked-off on Friday morning with emcee Kavita Sidhu’s welcome note to the attendees. Approximately 800 guests attended the launch, including Dato’ Jimmy Choo, Ning Baizura, Soo Shea Pin, Gillian Hung, Amber Chia, Andrea Fonseka, and many other socialites, media members and fashion lovers.

Mr Heah Sieu Lay, the Chairman of mifa, stated in his welcome speech that “The Twelve is a unique brick and mortar extension of Maxis’ fashion portal fashionista.my. The designs of all the fashion brands housed here can also be viewed on fashionista.my”.

Mr T. Kugan, the Vice-President of Product, Device and Innovation of Maxis re-enforced that statement by stating that The Twelve “brings fashionista.my to a new level, providing an additional platform for buyers to touch, see and experience the items which are available for purchase”.

Many of the attendees were impressed with the concept and idea to house Malaysian brands under one roof, as it was an answer to the problem that many interested customers were not able to locate the fashion brands after the end of fashion week.

Attendees were welcome to roam around the store and to personally view the collections of all the twelve brands. The models of Andrewsmodels modeled the collections of the designers in an installation fashion presentation around the store.

At the end of the launch event, guests proceeded in store for personal encounters with the designers and enjoyed a shopping experience browsing through the variety of items offered.

The partners involved in the launch of ‘The Twelve’ are Maxis, Fahrenheit 88, Snips Salon, Monica Lee, De’Longhi, Su’s Cakes, Sakae Sushi, Jade’s Nursery, Andrewsmodels, and GMC Advertising.
