Blue Ant Extreme, known for its thrilling and action-packed content lineup, took the action to the ground recently with the Xtreme Quest – a race that saw participants from Malaysia, Singapore and the Philippines going beyond their comfort zone to attempt conquering the Spartan Race. Karen Kho and Linda Law from Malaysia took on the challenge to prove that the impossible is really not that impossible after all, at the famed obstacle race held at Iskandar Puteri, Johor Bahru on 2 December 2018.
Considered one of the most challenging obstacle course races in the world, the Spartan Race tested the physical fitness and mental endurance of the participants. Like all the others taking on the race, the Xtreme Quest participants took on a variety of obstacles – from the monkey rope to swimming and trekking a mountain of cargo nets.
Xtreme Quest Participants Put Their Training To The Test To Take On The Impossible
The race was chosen as the setting for the inaugural Xtreme Quest challenge in line with the Blue Ant Extreme channel’s aim to constantly challenge its viewers to question their limits, go out of their comfort zones and breathe a little ‘Xtreme’ with high impact activities.
Having gone through intensive training and healthy diets in preparation for the race and completed the Xtreme Quest, Karen and Linda and their fellow participants can now decide where they sit on the continuum of Xtreme.
“I had no idea what to expect when I signed up for the Xtreme Quest. I assumed that it would be more like the obstacles and training that I usually do in the gym,”
– Linda, commenting on her expectations of the Xtreme Quest
Now that she can declare ‘Challenge Conquered!’ Linda agrees that the impossible is not as impossible as she imagined, hoping that more people will step out of their comfort zone and face their fears. “I am ready to take on other upcoming races, both locally and internationally in the near future. I hope to partner with Karen again, as I feel we make a good team,” she concluded.
As 2018 comes to an end and we welcome 2019, Blue Ant Extreme calls on viewers to challenge themselves by going beyond their comfort zone to achieve the impossible just like how Karen and Linda have.
