Celcom Drives Blood Donation Campaign

Celcom Axiata Berhad, in collaboration with MRSM Malaysia Student Association (ANSARA), recently drove a blood donation campaign at its new corporate office, @celcom, as part of its social responsibility efforts on 2ndMay 2019.

The ‘pre-Ramadhan’ Blood Donation Campaign 2019 marks the 13thedition of ANSARA’s campaign to increase awareness of the importance of blood donation in saving lives. A total of 135 bags of blood were collected at the end of the day which will be stored at, and used by, the Pusat Darah Negara.

In conjunction with Ramadhan, the campaign also promotes acts of good will through charitable activities, while promoting a positive culture amongst the employees. The campaign was officiated by Azmi Ujang, Chief Human Capital Officer of Celcom, and other members of Celcom’s senior management.

During the one-day campaign at @celcom, employees also participated in activities such as a health screening courtesy of MSU Medical School, and health talks by the Ministry of Health’s medical officers.

A book donation counter and Microsoft info booth were also set up to cultivate the culture of sharing, promoting the healthy habit of reading and enhancing digital skills.
