Knorr Festival of Flavours di Giant Batu Caves Meriah

Fuelling the fight to end hunger with the Knorr Festival of Flavours. Knorr partners with Stop Hunger Now Malaysia to provide meals for Malaysians in need and help create a world in which nobody goes hungry

In conjunction with World Food Day, the Knorr Festival of Flavours was held at Giant Batu Caves to raise funds that will go toward providing meals for those in need of food, as part of a mission to help end hunger. 100 per cent of the proceeds from the sale of food at the festival was contributed to Stop Hunger Now Malaysia, a not-for-profit hunger relief organisation. Each meal coupon purchased at the Knorr Festival of Flavours translated to a total of 10 nutritious meals that will be donated to fellow Malaysians in need of food and nutrition.

Along with providing the right nutrition, this initiative acts as a powerful incentive to drive Malaysians to come together as a community and transform good food at the festival into meaningful deeds for those who are most vulnerable. The Knorr Festival of Flavours saw Malaysians coming forward to collectively help to provide warm, wholesome meals to those who need it most.

“We believe in a world where everyone has access to nutritious food. However, the reality is that one in four people globally are still not receiving the nutrition they need to live a healthy life. This partnership with Stop Hunger Now Malaysia will help us drive positive, long-term change and give Malaysians access to nutritious, yet flavourful meals that can help them reach their full potential. It is our hope that the Knorr Festival of Flavours can be a step in the right direction in the fight to create a world free from hunger,” said Vincent Chong, Marketing Director, Unilever (Malaysia) Holdings Sdn. Bhd.

Knorr has always believed in bringing flavour to people’s lives – both through good food and by helping to ensure nutritious food is within everyone’s reach. The Knorr Festival of Flavours presented a wide array of gastronomic delights for all in attendance, including Sup Ayam, Sup Seafood, Kari Ayam, Ayam Masak Lemak Cili Api and Sayur Campur. Cooked from scratch with a variety of Knorr’s offerings such as chicken cubes and Knorr Pasti Sedap, the dishes served were simple yet flavourful, true to Knorr’s belief that everyday meals can and should be just as full of flavour as meals for special occasions.

Those present at the festival were also in for a treat, as Jasbir Kaur, our very own Malaysian contestant from MasterChef Asia made an appearance to share a few of her own culinary tips and secrets. The MasterChef Asia contestant also spent time with her fans at the festival, exchanging tips for whipping up a delicious, wholesome meal.

Knorr is a proud sponsor of MasterChef Asia – the TV series, which is now airing only on Lifetime, Astro Channel 709.
