Telco keeps its promise offering three new bundles for Acer Ultrabook, notebook and tablet
Kuala Lumpur, 22 October 2012 – Staying true to its promise to deliver its innovative mobile internet plans bundled with the latest technology, U Mobile, Malaysia’s most innovative and dynamic telco, today launched three new plans for the Acer Aspire S3 Ultrabook™, Acer Aspire V5 laptop and the Acer Iconia Tab A701, the latest devices from Acer powered by Intel.
This follows the announcement by U Mobile earlier in the year when it was the first to launch the Acer M3 Ultrabook coupled with its mobile internet plan. The telco was the first to enter a strategic partnership with Intel and Acer and promised to continue to deliver great value bundles.
Commenting on the continuation of the tie-up with Acer and Intel, U Mobile Sdn Bhd’s CEO, Encik Jaffa Sany Ariffin said, “U Mobile is offering the choice of not just one but three high performance devices at amazing rates and coupled with U Mobile’s high speed broadband data plan. The new, slimmer, lighter and more affordable Acer Aspire S3 Ultrabook™ is powered by the latest 3rd generation Intel® Ivy Bridge Platform processor and matched with U Mobile’s MB128 high-speed mobile broadband plan to provide customers a total savings of RM868 and the option of a 12 month interest free installment scheme, which works out at only RM6.66 a day. Perfect for the busy traveler, the MB128 plan includes 20GB of data with 6 months Internet access via the free high-speed mobile broadband modem.
Students, light users or customers seeking a less expensive option can check out the Acer Aspire V5, which also comes with a free high-speed broadband modem bundled in at the special price of just RM1,407. This device and plan offers a total savings of up to RM700 and the option of a 12 month interest free installment scheme, which works out at just RM3.90 a day. The device bundling has two options, either with U Mobile’s MB68 plan or the MB128 plan which provide a monthly data allowance of up to 5GB and 20GB respectively.
The super-thin 23mm Intel powered V5 notebook is packed with features including 2GB RAM, 500GB HDD, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0 and comes with USB 3.0, 2.0 and VGA ports together with a DVD-ROM, Gigabit LAN Port and HDMI port. Additionally the V5 notebook comes with a one year international warranty.
Last but not least, the partnership bundling includes the Acer Iconia Tab A701, the successor to the hugely popular Iconia Tab W501. The A701 tablet comes with a full HD 10.1 inch screen, is powered by the NVIDIA Quad Core processor, operates on the latest Android Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0 and has up to 11 hours of battery life. This device also has the bundling option of either the MB68 or MB128 plans which come with a data allowance of up to 5GB and 20GB respectively.
The A701 tablet, suitable for home users and ideal for entertainment on-the-go, is available from the very affordable price of RM1,587. Customers will enjoy total savings of up to RM720 and the option of a 12 months interest free installment plan which starts at just RM4.41 a day.
