Newly opened O’Galito Restaurant and Bar brings the freshest and the finest to Kuala Lumpur. The best of Mediterranean food has arrived at the Pavillion in the form of O’Galito Restaurant and Bar.

Its launch event on Wednesday presented signature dishes from the likes of Portugal, Greece, Italy and Spain. These included Italian LInguini with freshly sourced seafood, Portugese Chicken Piri-Piri, tender Braised Beef Cheeks and Tiramisu.

The event boasted the most talented Spanish dancers in Malaysia who spun and tapped to some specially mixed Latin House music. The trendy feel created the ideal ambience for a fun yet relaxed atmosphere where patrons could eat delicious food from a varied Mediterranean menu and sample ingenious cocktails made with some of the finest brands of spirits in the market.

The half Italian, half Spanish creator of these delicious dishes, Chef Domenico Piras prides himself on sourcing fine cheeses from Italy, quality cuts of meat from Australia and the freshest locally produced and sustainable vegetables.

This veteran Italian-Spanish Chef first received his culinary diploma at the tender age of 16, and was trained by Chef Mauro Ernesto, the Godfather of Italian food who earned his world-renowned reputation by being one of the first Chefs in Italy to earn a Michelin star.

Since completing his intense training with the Godfather, Chef Domenico has earned his own legend, working around the world for personalities such as the Ranieri Family of Monaco, the President of Kazakhstan and various Italian actors and celebrities. His refined culinary skills earned him a valuable reputation that shot him to fame and allowed him to explore the culinary world, taking him more recently to Brunei, Libya, Singapore and finally Malaysia.

These scrumptious Mediterranean dishes were introduced and personified through a sleek and chic fashion show. A line of made to measure suits by Bon Zainal complimented the main signature dishes and a fashionable line on women’s wear by Melvin Siah complimented the colour and style of the desserts and the Piri-piri chicken.

The looks presented brought out the colour and unique flavour of the following dishes, brought to you by Chef Piras.
