Samsung Unveils State-Of-The-Art Series 7 Chronos Notebook

SAMSUNG UNVEILS STATE-OF-THE-ART SERIES 7 CHRONOS NOTEBOOK AND NEW RANGE OF PRINTERS FOR ULTIMATE PRODUCTIVITY ON-THE-GO

Samsung Malaysia Electronics, a leader in digital media and digital convergence technologies, today unveiled its stunning premium Series 7 CHRONOS Notebook which promises exceptional speed, maximum performance and high quality display.

Encased in a stunningly thin and compact aluminum chassis, the high-spec Series 7 CHRONOS Notebook with Intel Core i5 Quad Core embraces the ExpressCache™ technology, providing an extra 8GB of flash memory on the motherboard. This enables a faster start-up as well as increasing the overall performance; web browsing is two times faster (based on Microsoft Internet Explorer) while the device takes just two seconds to wake up.

Speaking at the launch, Kwon Jae Hoon, Managing Director, Samsung Malaysia Electronics Sdn. Bhd. said, “Following the success of our stunning Series 9 Notebook, we are expanding our premium notebook range. With the Series 7 CHRONOS Notebook, we have matched powerful new features with Samsung’s design and engineering excellence to produce a truly special product.

“Our goal is to create notebooks that not only inspire and enrich customers’ lives but also notebooks that cater to variety of user demands and different market segments. We believe that the Series 7 CHRONOS Notebook represents the peak of personal computing,” he added.

In addition to exceptional speed, the Series 7 CHRONOS Notebook also delivers maximum performance in its high quality display. Incorporating Samsung’s latest ‘MAX screen’ technology, the Series 7 CHRONOS Notebook enables users to experience up to an extra inch of immerse viewing without sacrificing mobility or portability, with the 14” display, for example, being contained within the form factor traditionally associated with a 13” model.

Intel Malaysia and Brunei Country Manager, Prakash Mallya said, “PC users today demand for lighter and sleeker PC devices that they can carry along on-the-go without all the bulk and weight. We at Intel believe that the Series 7 CHRONOS Notebook can serve this purpose and will be able to provide a satisfying personal computing experience for the users with Intel Core i5.”

Samsung Malaysia also introduced three new printer series at the launch event; the Samsung SCX-3400 Series Multifunction Printers (MFP) that promises simple and reliable performance with print, scan, copy and fax solutions at a competitive cost; the Samsung the ML-2160 Series Laser Printers especially designed for those seeking cost efficient and easy-to-maintain laser printers and the SF-760P Monochrome Laser Fax/Multifunction Printer that guarantees greater time and cost saving through fast and easy printing.

“Samsung is committed to ecologically-sound product innovation; and this is easily reflected within our unique features such as the Easy Eco Driver that allows efficient use of toner and paper, while allowing users to save up to 75% on paper usage and 50% on energy consumption, reducing Carbon Dioxide emission and electricity usage,” added Kwon.

The new offerings comprising Samsung Series 7 CHRONOS Notebook, the Samsung ML-2160 Series Laser Printers, the Samsung SCX-3400 Series Multifunction Printers (MFP) and the Samsung SF-760P Monochrome Laser Fax/Multifunction Printers demonstrates Samsung’s continuous innovation while delivering superior quality, mobility and satisfaction to its loyal and potential customers.
