ON 7TH SEPTEMBER AT SUNWAY PYRAMID
Resident Evil: Retribution will be making its way to the cinemas in September this year. Chinese actress Li Bingbing will be visiting Malaysia to promote its release as part of the film’s Asian promotional tour on 7th September (Friday) at Sunway Pyramid, Subang Jaya. This will be the first star appearance of the Hollywood film where Li plays the role of Ada Wong.
The premiere event will kick start with a meet and greet with Li at the entrance hall of Sunway Pyramid from 6PM onwards. Fans of Li and the movie franchise will also stand a chance of winning 200 movie tickets and limited edition movie merchandises at the event. Invited guests will then proceed to TGV Sunway Pyramid cinemas to watch the premiere of Resident Evil: Retribution.
This exclusive premiere of Resident Evil: Retribution is hosted and sponsored by TGV Cinemas as part of its ongoing initiative to provide the best cinema experience for Malaysians. The presence of Chinese superstar Li Bingbing at the preview also gives a once in a lifetime opportunity for fans to have a personalized experience of meeting her in person.
Resident Evil: Retribution will be premiering for the first time in Malaysia on IMAX at TGV Sunway Pyramid. This means cinema goers in Malaysia can now experience this successful movie franchise on IMAX’s revolutionary projection technology, which delivers crystal-clear images, powerful digital sound and customized theatre geometry made available by TGV Cinemas.

TGV Cinemas has recently extended its partnership with IMAX® Corporation which will see more IMAX theatres opening in other premier locations in Malaysia. TGV currently operates its first IMAX theatre in Sunway Pyramid and will open its second IMAX theatre in a new construction project in Bandar Utama by October 2012 in the fall with the third theatre opening in December 2012 in an existing multiplex in Johor Bahru. The fourth and fifth IMAX theatre systems will also be located in new construction projects in the cities of Penang and Kuala Lumpur, which are slated to be open by December 2013 and December 2015, respectively.
Resident Evil: Retribution is the fifth installment of the wildly successful film franchise adaptation of the popular video game series, Resident Evil, releases 13th September nationwide in state-of-the-art 3D.
