Program synopsis:
Born Catherine Elizabeth Middleton in 1982 to mother Carole Goldsmith Middleton, a flight attendant for British Airways, and father Michael Francis Middleton, a flight dispatcher, Kate Middleton would grow up to become one of the most envied women in the world – Prince William’s fiancée.
From modest beginnings in Berkshire, UK, Kate attended the University of St. Andrews, where she majored in the History of Art and graduated with a 2:1 (honors). It was at the university that Kate met Prince William. While the official status of their relationship was unsubstantiated, the paparazzi were relentless, photographing Kate at every opportunity from 2005–2006.
In 2007, it was reported that Prince William and Kate broke up on a trip to Switzerland. The couple soon reconciled, and Kate was seen at various royal events. On November 16, 2010, the Office of the Prince of Wales at Clarence House announced their engagement, with a wedding date set for April 29, 2011.
