32 teams will be showcasing their futsal prowess in the Central Regional Kick Off
Cabaran Skor Dashing – The First Neon Futsal Competition in Malaysia by Dashing For Men will be off to an exciting start on 10th November with the first regional kick off in Kota Damansara for the central region. 32 teams have entered the fray for the first regional kick off.
According to Mr Dwaraka, Marketing Manager of Dashing, a well rounded marketing effort was made to reach out to consumers through a variety of media including instore branding. The contest has been receiving encouraging support from futsal aficionados as well as Dashing consumers all over Malaysia.“Futsal is a sport that is loved by a majority of Malaysian males. We wanted to bring this fascinating game to our consumer, but with a slight twist which would not only be fun but also challenging. Hence the concept of Neon Futsal which allows them to showcase their confidence, a quality that Dashing stands for. We are glad to say that the campaign has created a positive buzz for the brand and the event has been very well received” said Ms.Christina Yong, Senior GM, Wipro Unza (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd.
This has resulted in more than seventy teams having already registered for this challenge across Malaysia.
The company is still in the midst of collecting more forms from their promoters across other regions. 32 teams would be involved in the first regional challenge in Kota Damansara.
Apart from a fun experience, the contestants will be in reckoning for winning prizes worth more than RM 20,000.00.The highlight of the top prize apart from a cash reward of RM 7,000.00 is a trip to ESPN studios in Singapore. “This is an experience that money can’t buy” said Mr.Dwaraka.
Below are the dates for regional tournaments:
• 10th November 2012- Sports Planet Kota Damansara, Selangor
• 24th November 2012- Sports Planet Kluang, Johore
• 30th November 2012- Sports Planet Kuala Terengganu, Terengganu
• 1st December 2012- Sports Planet Penang
Team that are selected for the regional kick off will be playing in a round robin & knock off system.
• Each team in the same group need to play against each other in round robin format
• Team that accumulates the highest points within the group need to compete with top team from other group in group knock off match for example -winner A vs Winner B : Winner C vs Winner D
• The knock off system applies to group knock off match 1, ground knock off match 2 and final match
• The region winner then enters enters semi & grand finals on 8th December 2012 at Sports Planet Kota Damansara
