More flights at lower fares with AirAsia’s ‘Last Minute Deals’

Three routes receive flight frequency boost, while other destinations are on sale for immediate travel!

SEPANG, 5 MARCH 2012 – AirAsia, the world’s best low cost airline is offering promotional fares for last minute travel with its ‘Last Minute Deals’ up to August with all-in-fares from as low as RM20 one way for domestic flights, and from RM50 one way for international flights.

Concurrently, as part of its efforts to enhance connectivity around the region, AirAsia is increasing the flight frequencies of one international and two domestic routes in its network.

The Kuala Lumpur – Langkawi flights will be operating 66x weekly instead of 63x weekly, while the Singapore – Langkawi flight frequencies will be increased to 7x weekly from 4x weekly. The flight frequency increase for both these routes take effect on 26th May 2012. The Kuala Lumpur – Terengganu route will be increased to 21x weekly from 17x weekly and is effective 27th May 2012.

The ‘Last Minute Deals’ promotion includes the additional flight frequencies of the three routes and also features popular destinations such as Penang, Kuching, Kota Bahru, Singapore, Bangkok, Macau, Shenzhen, Bali, Jakarta, Hong Kong, Phnom Penh, Kolkata, Bangalore, Chennai, Hanoi, Da Nang and many more. This promotion is available for booking at www.airasia.com from now until 11 March 2012 with the travel period from 20 March – 12 August 2012.

This promotion will enable guests who need to travel immediately to enjoy lower fares and at the same time have the flexibility of AirAsia’s route network and high flight frequencies across the Asean region.

The recent reduction of pre-booked meals, check-in baggage and sports equipment fees, as well as processing fees for usage of charge cards will also complement the ‘Last Minute Deals’ promotion, as guests will be able to enjoy savings up to 50% when they book their value-added services together with their flights.

AirAsia’s value-added services such as Hot Seats, Pick-A-Seat, AirAsia Insure, pre-booked meals and many more are available up to 48 hours before the guests’ scheduled flight. Guests are able to add in these services via ‘Manage My Booking’ at AirAsia’s website.
