AirAsia’s FREE SEATS are back!
1 million promo seats are up for grabs*

SEPANG, 8 NOVEMBER 2010 – AirAsia, the world’s best low-cost airline is feeling generous and will be giving away free seats for domestic and international destinations to their loyal guests.

The free seats are up for grabs from 9 – 14 November 2010 and are available online at www.airasia.com. The travel period for the free seats campaign is from 1 July – 10 Nov 2011. Seats are at zero fare, and guests only need to pay for airport tax.

Kathleen Tan, Regional Head of Commercial said: “The most awaited time of the year is here again! We have been investing heavily in bringing the latest technology to our guests. This time around, there are two more channels apart from our website and mobile site for guests to grab their free seats as we have recently launched our Blackberry and Android App. In August this year, we broke a world sales record by selling more than 500,000 seats in 24 hours during our Mind Blowing Fare campaign with RM1 fares. We hope this free seats campaign will also see encouraging response such as this, if not better as our state-of-the-art booking system allows up to 1 million flight bookings a day. Take this opportunity to connect throughout AirAsia’s route network and explore destinations that you have never been to, especially sizzling and sexy domestic destinations. See you at www.airasia.com!”

Guests can enjoy even greater value of up to 50% discount when they purchase ancillary products online such as Baggage Supersize, Pick-A-Seat and pre-booked meals online. Free seats are also never complete without hotel rooms. AirAsia’s holiday division, AirAsiaGo is offering RM1 hotel rooms in domestic and international destinations exclusively via www.airasiago.com throughout the same booking period of 9 – 14 November 2010, and is applicable for the travel period from now till 31 August 2011.

The free seats are also available via mobile on mobile.airasia.com, AirAsia Blackberry App as well as AirAsia Android Phone App. Both the apps are available for download via Blackberry App World and the Android Market by searching for the keyword ‘AirAsia’. The AirAsia iPhone App will also be made available soon, while iPhone users can book their flights on www.airasia.com via their web browser as well.

Guests who wish to travel at a closer travel period will be redirected to a secondary web farm in airasia.com where they are able to conduct transactions smoothly without being affected by the expected high traffic due to great response for the free seats.

AirAsia’s social media team has also prepared a ‘Free Seats 101’ to assist guests on how to get their free seats effectively. Common issues are identified and explained in the simple guide which includes solutions and tips as well. The ‘Free Seats 101’ would be available on AirAsia’s Facebook page (facebook.com/AirAsia) so make sure you ‘Like’ AirAsia’s Facebook page.
