13 BUAH BAND TERHEBAT DALAM HOMEGROWN MUSIM KE-3



HOMEGROWN (MUSIM KE-3)

Menyukai muzik yang hangat, baru dan segar? 8TV sekali lagi membawakan kepada anda  program HOMEGROWN untuk  musim ke-3.  HOMEGROWN mengangkat taraf band-band tempatan di kaca televisyen menerusi hasil produksi tempatan! HOMEGROWN menampilkan sesi temubual bersama 13 buah band-band terhebat di negara kita.

Jadi jangan lepaskan peluang untuk menonton perjuangan muzik band-band yang cukup berbakat ini di saluran 8TV bermula 14 Disember 2008, jam 10.30 malam! Melalui musim baru ini HOMEGROWN berwajah baru di mana program ini lebih berkonsepkan majalah dengan info-info yang menarik dan membantu.

Selain menyelami kehidupan band-band ini, penonton juga dapat menambahkan ilmu tentang muzik kerana program ini turut memaparkan segmen tentang barangan muzik, ‘DIY segment’ yang mana mereka akan menunjukkan cara-cara untuk kita membuat t.shirt dengan rekaan kita sendiri, info-info tentang gigs dan banyak lagi!

“Saya begitu kagum dengan bakat dan kebolehan band-band baru di Malaysia yang boleh dikatakan cukup berpengaruh. Homegrown kini sekali lagi memberi sokongan kepada band-band ini mempromosikan produk mereka selain memuatkan beberapa segmen menarik berkaitan dengan muzik,” ujar Lam Swee Kim, Pengurus Besar Penjenamaan, Pembangunan Perniagaan, Pemasaran dan Komunikasi 8TV.

Sambung Kim lagi, “Saya amat berbangga dengan perkembangan kumpulan muzik tanahair.  Saban tahun ada sahaja muka-muka dan kumpulan-kumpulan baru muncul memperbaharui dan mewarnai muzik dengan nafas baru dan ini satu petanda baik kepada peminat-peminat muzik dan produksi tempatan untuk memperbanyakkan lagi program berbentuk hiburan.  Homegrown adalah satu platform yang bagus untuk mengenengahkan band-band ini.”

Antara band-band yang bakal ditampilkan dalam Homegrown ialah Estranged, The Times, Pure Vibracion, One Buck Short, Nitrus, Deja Voodoo Spells, Seven Collar T-shirt, Estrella, Komplot, The Otherside Orchestra, Bittersweet, Nice Stupid Playground dan Butterfingers.

Pastikan anda menonton program yang cukup menarik ini pada setiap Ahad, bermula 14 Disember jam 10.30 malam eksklusif di 8TV! 8TV juga boleh ditontoni menerusi saluran 708 di Astro.

      that pretty much shows how out of touch you are with the awesomeness of malaysian musical scene now

      Search, WINGS, Damasutra et al all depends on OTHER PEOPLE writing their music. by OTHER PEOPLE i mean the late LOLOQ and Sifu M Nasir

      it can be said that the 80′s was a decade where M Nasir n LOLOQ singehandedly changed the landscape of malaysian rock scene. Thus the reason why the musical style between one rock band to another is close to non existent

      pick up a blackrose, damasutra and MEGA album from that decade and gave it a listen. you will notice that the lyrics and music are inter exchangable with one another. all the bands have no REAL musical style. WHY? because the same person wrote songs for all the bands

      the current crop of rockers in malaysia wrote their own song. if you listen to Butterfingers, Seven Collar and One Buck Shot you can hear a smogasboard of sound from different alot of influences.

      butter plays a hybrid of rock and gamelan.. very malaysian sound indeed

      seven collar is more electronic that was heavily influence by the works of Radiohead and PULP

      one buck short in the other hand is PUNKY and was heavily influenced by Greenday

      so you are saying the old malay bands are better because the all sound simmilar to one another? while they might be more popular the musical outputs are nowhere as good as we have now in the industry. we have quality now instead of quantity.

      but let me just hazard a guess here miss honeybee…..

      when was the last time you went to a malaysian band’s concert? when was the last time you went to an underground gig ? when was the last time you BOUGHT an album by a malaysian band?

      i bet its NONE. so thats why you said that the older bands are better.

      so now go out there and grad the latest by Butterfingers or Seven Collar T-Shirts DRONES album. that should give you a good barometer on how awesome malaysian bands are these days. you will be amazed on how superior the are than the indonesian crap we are served on the radio these days

      Obe .. suka ati aku lah aku nk mnat kt band mana pun .. out of touch @ watever .. dgn band lani .. aku pduli apa …dh mmg tlinga aku x suka dgn muzik band lani! Klau ko minat .. ko minat lah .. aku pun x kisah. Mmg aku x de p pun mna2 konsert monsert band tu .. so what???!
